Nominated Candidates
While the majority of AYAD assignments are openly advertised on this website, a proportion of assignments with Australian Partner Organisations (APOs) are not openly advertised. In these cases the APO chooses to nominate a candidate for an assignment.
Nominated candidates still need to fulfil all the requirements of the AYAD Program selection process but no-one else is able to apply for that assignment (unlike the openly advertised assignments which work on a merit based competition). This means that if the nominated candidate has the required skills and experience they will be selected as the candidate for the assignment.
Nominated candidates can be staff members, students, consultants or members of the general public – they do not need a formal relationship with the APO in order to be nominated for an assignment.
If you are interested in becoming a nominated candidate the AYAD Program encourages you to read the APO sections of this website and check out our Current APOs - you may find that your workplace or university/TAFE is already working with the AYAD Program as an APO.
*Please note that if you are a nominated candidate you are not eligible to apply for any other assignments within that Intake.
