AYAD Mobilisation

Getting in country!

Once you have completed all your pre-departure preparations (including medicals & vaccinations, visas and Australian Volunteers Briefing) you are set to go. You will have received your airline ticket at Australian Volunteers Briefing and after all the final farewells you'll be ready to head in country.

Your country's mobilisation date (the date you arrive in country) will be in the four weeks following Australian Volunteers Briefing and you will be informed of your departure dates prior to Australian Volunteers Briefing.

All AYADs arrive in country together and your ICM will meet you at the airport and settle you in to short term accomodation while you go through your In Country Orientation (which inlcudes sourcing your long term accomodation).

The AYAD Program books your tickets based on the information you provide in your Travel Booking Form (part of your 'Yes Pack' when you are offered your AYAD assignment). There is no flexibility with your departure dates or the ticket route once you have returned that form.
